Introduction

We are seeking a forward-thinking and dynamic professional to join a newly formed HR Transformation Division within a leading Japanese technology group. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic transformation across HR systems, processes, and culture at an enterprise-wide level, including domestic and global affiliates. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading cross-functional projects that advance the company's vision for a more agile, data-driven, and job-based HR organization.

About the Role

As a core member of the HR Transformation Division, you will lead high-impact projects related to HR system design, data utilization, and business process optimization. You will collaborate with stakeholders from centers of excellence (CoEs), business HR units, shared services, group company HR teams, and IT to deliver transformative solutions. Depending on the nature of the projects, you will be assigned to either the HR Project Group or the HR Tech Group.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end HR transformation projects, including:
  • Implementation of job-based HR systems
  • Data management projects to enhance workforce and organizational decision-making
  • HR business process reengineering initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., consultants, IT, global affiliates) to define requirements, optimize processes, and manage change
  • Manage project schedules, risks, budgets, and communication across functions
  • Facilitate the deployment of HR technologies (e.g., SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, digital adoption platforms)
  • Support UX improvements and service delivery enhancements through digital tools
  • Drive synergies and best practices across domestic and global HR teams
Requirements Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience in at least one of the following:
  • HR business process reengineering (BPR) or business process outsourcing (BPO)
  • HR system revision within a corporate HR function
  • Implementation of HR technology solutions at a business company, SIer, or consulting firm
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK)
  • Familiarity with business process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
  • Understanding of service management principles (e.g., ITIL)
  • Experience with HR technologies such as SuccessFactors or ServiceNow
  • Exposure to HR data analytics, dashboard development, or AI applications in HR
  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Educational background in data science or a related field is a plus (for section manager level)
