A world-leading company in the semiconductor and display equipment sector is currently seeking a driven and capable Talent Acquisition Advisor to join its dynamic Human Resources team in Tokyo. About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Advisor will manage end-to-end recruitment activities, aligning hiring efforts with strategic business objectives. Operating in a fast-paced, global environment, the role requires a consultative and proactive approach to talent acquisition, focusing on both mid-career and graduate recruitment. This position will be based in Tokyo and reports to a Japanese manager.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Develop and execute tailored recruiting strategies for individual positions.
- Conduct regular check-ins with hiring managers and HR partners to assess and refine recruitment plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners including universities, vendors, and professional associations.
- Identify and engage talent through diverse channels, including direct sourcing, job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
- Represent the organization at career fairs and campus events to strengthen employer branding.
- Utilize Workday and CRM tools for tracking candidates, generating reports, and streamlining processes.
- Provide market intelligence and salary proposals to hiring managers and candidates.
- Manage recruitment projects and initiatives, including vendor management and internal process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven in-house recruiting experience, preferably within a global or high-tech environment (agency or RPO backgrounds are not considered).
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing talent acquisition strategies across both experienced and campus hiring.
- Fluent in both English and Japanese (business level or higher).
- Proficient in using recruiting tools such as Workday, CRMs, and sourcing platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to provide consultative input.
- Familiarity with the local labor market and talent trends.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; additional HR certifications are a plus.
