Fumiko Takahashi is a seasoned HR and enterprise SaaS professional with a distinguished career spanning global corporations and innovative HR technologies. After graduating from Keio University with a degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Law, she held managerial roles at multinational firms including AT&T, Cisco Systems, and Siemens. In these roles, she led strategic initiatives across recruitment, talent development, and organizational planning.
She later transitioned into HR technology sales at LinkedIn, Korn Ferry, and Microsoft, where she supported leading Japanese enterprises in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing platforms such as LinkedIn Learning and Microsoft Viva. Fumiko is recognized for her ability to drive end-to-end project execution—from strategic planning to operational rollout—while navigating complex stakeholder environments and aligning HR strategies with broader business objectives.
Building on her extensive experience in talent development, learning & development, talent management, HRIS implementation, and recruitment, Fumiko is now leading Makana Partners’ HR Consulting Practice. In this role, she brings both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to help clients design future-ready people strategies and implement transformative HR initiatives.
With a robust network of HR professionals across Japan, Fumiko actively facilitates peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and cultivates professional communities among HR leaders, contributing to the advancement of HR excellence nationwide.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Fumiko enjoys golfing and gardening and finds joy in spending weekends surrounded by nature.
