About the Role

As an Accounting Specialist, the successful candidate will initially take on responsibilities related to either financial closing or taxation. Over time, through structured rotations and career planning, the individual will expand their expertise across a broad spectrum of accounting and tax functions. Long-term career growth may include multiple international postings or secondments, with responsibilities extending to affiliated companies both in Japan and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage consolidated financial reports (IFRS) and standalone financial statements (Japanese GAAP)
• Support internal and external audits
• Oversee company-wide budgeting activities
• Handle corporate tax and consumption tax filings, payments, and audit support
• Contribute to the development and execution of enterprise-wide tax strategies
• Participate in rotational assignments across accounting and tax-related teams
• Engage in planning and proposal development in support of complex business operations

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or higher
• Approximately 8–12 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Audit or financial advisory services at an audit firm
• Tax filing and consulting at a tax firm
• Finance, accounting, or tax functions at a major corporation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate membership with the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA)
• Certified Tax Accountant, ideally with prior practical experience
• International exposure or familiarity with cross-border financial operations
