Introduction:

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm to identify a seasoned marketing professional to join their distribution division. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with strong experience in asset management marketing to contribute to the strategic growth of the business through impactful marketing initiatives and stakeholder engagement.


About the Role:

As Assistant Director, Marketing, you will support the Head of Marketing in elevating departmental performance and executing a variety of strategic and operational marketing activities. This role plays a critical part in bridging internal teams and external partners, managing high-impact campaigns, and supporting business development efforts. You will also oversee the marketing budget and contribute to brand positioning and communication strategies in the local market.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement frameworks and procedures that enhance the marketing function.
  • Localize and adapt global content for the domestic market, ensuring high-quality standards and relevance.
  • Lead or support the execution of various marketing initiatives, including content creation, video production, event planning, media relations, digital marketing, RFPs, and due diligence documentation.
  • Develop and present marketing materials tailored to distributors, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage and track the department’s annual marketing budget.
  • Coordinate with regional and internal teams to align local strategies with broader objectives.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing within the asset management or broader financial services industry.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent in Japanese (native level) and proficient in English (business level or higher).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across different organizational levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented team player who thrives in high-pressure environments and meets tight deadlines.
  • Confident, resilient, and capable of presenting and advocating for ideas.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in marketing processes.
