Introduction

Our client is a leading global asset management firm seeking an experienced investment professional to join its Institutional Client Relations team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of investments, product strategy, and client engagement, partnering closely with investment professionals, sales teams, and global stakeholders to deliver value-added investment solutions for institutional clients.


 About the Role

This is a strategic product management and client solutions role focused primarily on fixed income investment strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of investment solutions, supporting institutional client coverage, coordinating with global investment teams, and driving new product development initiatives. The

position requires close collaboration across investments, sales, and international offices to ensure clients receive timely, high-quality investment insights and solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee product management activities for institutional investment strategies, with a focus on fixed income.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market developments, and investment activities to support investment teams in fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Act as a key liaison between global investment teams and the local business, facilitating the efficient flow of investment and product-related information.
  • Partner with institutional sales teams by providing timely product support, market insights, and investment expertise.
  • Collaborate with investment and distribution teams to develop and launch new investment solutions, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Prepare product materials, investment commentary, presentations, and other client-facing content.
  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm's institutional product offering and long-term business growth.
  • Ensure team activities align with the firm's strategic objectives and commitment to delivering value-added investment solutions.


Requirements

  • Experience in asset management, investment management, product management, product strategy, investment consulting, or a related institutional investment role.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income markets and investment products.
  • Basic knowledge of the asset management industry and product management processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret investment and market data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and institutional clients.
  • High-quality presentation and writing skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and responsibilities.
  • A Class-1 Financial Instruments Sales Representative qualification (or willingness to obtain it after joining).
