About the Role:
The Finance Manager will initially support daily accounting operations, ensuring smooth financial processes. Over time, this individual will expand their role, taking charge of monthly closing, budget management, annual audits, and tax-related tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Administration and work toward leading the company’s financial strategy. This role is an excellent fit for someone eager to take on increasing responsibilities in accounting and finance management.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations:
- Manage and process payment vouchers (10-20 per day)
- Perform monthly closing tasks, including management accounting
- Oversee budget management and preparation of internal documents
- Collaborate with shared service companies for financial tasks
- Address employee inquiries regarding accounting matters
- Lead and manage the accounting team
- Future Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual closing operations, including preparation of financial statements and coordination with external auditors
- Handle corporate tax, consumption tax, and fixed asset tax in collaboration with tax firms
- Manage payment processing and cash flow
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filing and financial reporting
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Over 3 years of practical accounting experience in a business environment
- Knowledge equivalent to Level 2 of the Japan Bookkeeping Examination (Nissho Boki)
- Experience in closing accounts and handling monthly financial reporting
- Preferred:
- Experience using ERP systems, particularly accounting modules
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Ability to work weekends occasionally if necessary
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Korean is advantageous
- Proficiency in English or Korean is preferred
