As part of its continued growth, the firm is seeking a Fund Placement Sales Associate to support capital-raising initiatives and investor coverage activities.  About the Role

The Fund Placement Sales Associate will play a key role in supporting fundraising mandates for investment funds across various alternative asset classes. Working closely with senior professionals, the successful candidate will help identify and engage prospective investors, coordinate fundraising activities, and contribute to the execution of capital-raising strategies.

This role offers significant exposure to institutional investors, fund managers, and private markets transactions, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking to build a long-term career within fundraising, investor relations, or alternative asset management.


Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of fundraising mandates and capital-raising initiatives for private market investment funds.
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective institutional investors across Japan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with pension funds, asset managers, family offices, and other institutional investors.
  • Prepare investor marketing materials, presentations, fundraising documentation, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and follow-up communications.
  • Conduct market and investor research to identify new business opportunities and potential sources of capital.
  • Maintain regular communication with investment managers and clients regarding fundraising progress and investor feedback.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of fundraising activities and high-quality client service.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising pipelines, investor engagement activities, and business development metrics.


Requirements

  • Approximately 4–5 years of experience within the financial services industry.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, relationship management, investor relations, client coverage, or another client-facing role.
  • Understanding of asset management, private markets, alternative investments, or institutional investing is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and commercially driven with a track record of delivering results.
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
