Introduction
Our client, a leading global asset management firm, is seeking an experienced Head of Client Reporting to lead its Japan reporting function. This is a senior leadership role overseeing the delivery of approximately 5,000 client reports annually, while driving operational excellence, team development, and strategic transformation.
About the Role
You will lead the Japan Client Reporting team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of reporting services for institutional and retail clients. In addition to managing daily operations, you will drive process improvements, enhance reporting capabilities, and work closely with senior stakeholders across Japan and global offices.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Client Reporting team.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of client reports.
- Strengthen reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Drive reporting technology and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across Investments, Sales, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Risk.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams on cross-border initiatives.
- Manage reporting risks, governance, and business continuity.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in institutional client reporting or investment operations within asset management.
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of investment reporting, performance measurement, and multiple asset classes.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and leading change initiatives.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
- University degree required; CFA, CAIA, or similar qualifications are an advantage.
