About the Role
The role will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting learning, leadership, and organizational development solutions across multiple employee populations, including corporate and frontline teams. This role partners closely with HR, Talent, and business stakeholders to ensure that global and regional people development strategies are effectively localized and executed.
This is an individual contributor role with a broad regional scope, requiring strong facilitation capability, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to operate in a matrixed, global environment.
Responsibilities
People Development & Learning Programs
- Support the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of manager and leadership development programs for corporate and frontline teams
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions in both Japanese and English
- Customize learning solutions to address specific business, team, and capability needs
- Support the launch and management of digital learning, e-learning, and micro-learning solutions
- Manage training programs through learning management systems and HR platforms
- Oversee relationships with external learning and development vendors as needed
Organizational Development & Change
- Support and facilitate organizational development initiatives such as team effectiveness, organizational design, and culture-related interventions
- Contribute to change management efforts, including owning and delivering core change management curricula
- Design scalable tools, workshops, and resources based on best practices and regional needs
- Measure and evaluate the impact of learning and OD initiatives on business outcomes
Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with global GPOD colleagues to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide people development strategies
- Build strong partnerships with HR business partners, talent teams, and regional stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Japan and Korea, supporting both global and regional initiatives
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese and high business fluency in English, with the ability to facilitate training in English
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning & development, organizational development, and/or change management
- Experience supporting multiple countries or markets; exposure to the Korea market is a strong advantage
- Strong facilitation, training design, and stakeholder management skills
- High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, can-do mindset
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, with experience handling complex programs
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Familiarity with learning methodologies, assessment tools, and OD frameworks; certifications are a plus
