Introduction: This HR Business Partner (HRBP) role is a key position within the automotive sector, focusing on strategic HR activities and leadership collaboration. Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRBP, Automotive Japan, with a dotted line to the VP, HRBP for the APAC segment, this position is pivotal in aligning HR strategy with business goals.
About the Role: The HRBP will be an integral part of the Business Unit’s HR team, providing strategic talent management, organizational design, and effectiveness support. This role requires strong collaboration with leadership to address critical business challenges and deploy HR interventions that align with the unit's strategic objectives. It is ideal for a candidate who has experience in both local and international HR contexts and can act as a liaison between the business unit and the broader HR leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of strategic talent management, organization design, and organizational effectiveness within the business unit.
- Collaborate closely with leadership teams to identify key business challenges and deploy appropriate HR solutions.
- Coordinate with HR Solutions and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure successful delivery of HR services aligned with business goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR performance and support the growth objectives of the business unit.
- Act as the voice of the business within the HR leadership team, ensuring the business's needs are communicated and addressed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in an HR environment.
- At least 6 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist, with a strong understanding of HR practices in an international context.
- 3+ years of managerial experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies tailored to diverse business models.
- Experience across multiple HR disciplines, including HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent Management.
- Experience working in global or international organizations.
- Strong business acumen, understanding key aspects of business operations, market dynamics, and financial drivers.
- Expertise in talent management, organization design, employee relations, and labor relations.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Japanese.
