Introduction:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the role of Senior Manager in Institutional Sales. This position plays a crucial part in driving the growth of the Institutional business by fostering relationships with institutional investors.


About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Institutional Sales will report to the Head of Institutional Sales and be responsible for managing and developing business relationships with various institutional clients. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving sales objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Secure mandates from potential clients through targeted sales activities aimed at corporate and public pension funds as well as financial institutions.
  • Cross-sell and present tailored solutions to existing clients.
  • Initiate and develop new product ideas that meet the needs of institutional clients.
  • Support the Head of Institutional Sales in achieving overall sales goals.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to prepare pitch books, client reports, portfolio reviews, and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding process for clients and address ongoing client requests.
  • Maintain active communication with overseas offices to gather information and share insights.
  • Conduct sales activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform competitor analysis as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the asset management industry.
  • Strong sales motivation with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese, both spoken and written (mandatory).
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Resourceful and adaptable, capable of thriving in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Results-driven, with strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • High presentation skills and the ability to effectively explain various products.
  • Understanding and demonstration of the company’s purpose and core values.
