Our client is a Japan-based hedge fund that recently transitioned to a full discretionary investment management license in February 2025. As part of its continued growth and institutionalization, the firm is strengthening its Operations function and is seeking to add one additional team member to join the existing two-person operations team.

About the Role
This position is an Operations Associate role focused on investment trust accounting and fund administration within a hedge fund environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing core operational processes that support the firm’s funds, ensuring accuracy, control, and efficiency across daily activities. Over time, the role will expand to include broader fund-related support responsibilities.
The position sits within the Operations team and plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the firm’s fund management infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Investment trust accounting and related administrative processes
- Calculation and reconciliation of Net Asset Value (NAV)
- Trade instruction and trade reconciliation with securities firms and counterparties
- Execution and oversight of day-to-day operational processes across the funds
- Support for additional fund-related matters as experience and familiarity with the role increase
Requirements
- Experience in fund accounting, investment trust accounting, or fund administration
- Familiarity with NAV calculation and reconciliation processes
- Understanding of trade operations and settlement workflows with securities firms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a small, collaborative team environment
- Proactive mindset and willingness to take on broader responsibilities over time
