We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager to drive business growth and market expansion in the commercial solar and ground-mounted solar project sectors. About the Role:

The Sales Manager/Senior Sales Manager will play a critical role in identifying and capturing new market opportunities, fostering relationships with key accounts, and expanding the company’s footprint in the solar energy market. This position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a strong understanding of the local Japanese market to deliver on sales targets and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage key account customers for commercial solar and ground-mounted projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive market development strategies to expand the company’s reach.
  • Build and nurture relationships with government entities, project investors, and developers.
  • Acquire new customers and manage existing accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Track key account activities using Salesforce and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Represent the company at local and regional trade fairs and industry events.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow to meet or exceed established KPIs.
  • Support marketing activities and contribute to market communication efforts.
  • Build a strong understanding of market trends and industry dynamics.
  • Implement strategic action plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct frequent business travel to meet with clients and prospects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years (Sales Manager) or 5 years (Senior Sales Manager) of successful B2B sales experience in the PV solar industry within Japan.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the local Japanese market.
  • Sales Track Record: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Attributes: Results-driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a team player.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently for business purposes.
  • Language: Fluent in Japanese (required), conversational in Chinese or English (preferred).
