Introduction:

This is a unique opportunity to join the Aerospace & Mobility Division of a leading global trading and investment firm. The division operates at the intersection of industrial innovation and global expansion, managing a diverse portfolio of operating companies and pioneering new investments in both the Construction Machinery and Mobility segments.

We are seeking professionals with a passion for business development, cross-border investment, and operational leadership to help drive strategic growth across international markets.


About the Role:

The role will be based in Tokyo initially, with global mobility expected in the mid to long term. You will be assigned to one of the sales departments within either the Construction Machinery or Mobility segment, depending on your experience and the outcome of the interview process.

You will take an active role in refining existing businesses, managing overseas affiliates, driving M&A strategy and execution, and overseeing post-investment integration and growth. This position offers strong career progression toward senior management roles and potential leadership within operating companies abroad.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize existing businesses within the assigned domain (Construction Machinery or Mobility)
  • Oversee strategic planning and financial performance of overseas portfolio companies
  • Drive new business investments including strategy formulation, due diligence, execution, and post-merger integration (PMI)
  • Monitor budget performance, financial planning, and key business KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead digital transformation (DX) and business model innovation initiatives
  • Act as a key liaison with overseas stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy


Requirements:


Essential Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of professional experience in a corporate setting
  • Strong command of English (business-level or above), with experience in international assignments or projects
  • Solid experience in business investment and M&A, including strategy and execution


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a managerial position (leading a team of 3 or more)
  • Background in business development or operational leadership in industrial sectors
  • Experience in international business, especially managing or supporting overseas subsidiaries
