HR (Mid-Career Recruitment)

HR (Mid-Career Recruitment)

Introduction

Our client is a diversified financial services group operating across securities, asset management, and emerging financial domains, with a strong presence in both Japan and overseas markets. In recent years, the organization has entered a significant growth and transformation phase, driven by strategic partnerships, global business expansion, and ongoing investment in new initiatives.

Against this backdrop, talent has become an increasingly critical driver of business success. The company is now seeking an experienced mid-career recruitment professional to play a central role in shaping how talent is identified, attracted, and integrated into the organization, contributing directly to its long-term growth and organizational evolution.

About the Role

This role sits within the HR function and focuses primarily on mid-career recruitment. It goes beyond executional hiring to cover the full recruitment lifecycle—from defining hiring needs and designing candidate experience, through to onboarding and early-stage integration.

The position is designed for someone who sees recruitment as a strategic lever for business impact. Over time, the scope of the role is expected to expand into broader HR areas such as talent development, performance management, and organizational development, offering a pathway into a well-rounded HR career.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mid-career recruitment processes, from planning to execution
  • Translate business strategy into clear hiring requirements, talent profiles, and recruitment strategies
  • Design and continuously improve selection processes and candidate experience, including communication and information flow
  • Manage direct sourcing and outreach strategies, working closely with external partners where relevant
  • Design and implement onboarding processes in collaboration with hiring managers and relevant stakeholders
  • Partner closely with business leaders to ensure hiring decisions align with both short-term needs and long-term organizational goals

Note: Administrative tasks such as scheduling and system management are handled by support staff, allowing this role to focus on high-value, strategic recruitment activities.

Requirements

Candidates should meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in graduate or mid-career recruitment within a corporate environment
  • Experience working with recruitment-related platforms or tools (e.g., sourcing, applicant tracking, analytics), including planning, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to structure hiring challenges, propose solutions, and follow through from design to implementation

Experience must go beyond sales-oriented or transactional engagement; candidates should have been directly involved in diagnosing hiring issues and driving outcomes through execution.

Why Apply

  • Strategic, business-driven recruitment: This is not an operational hiring role. You will work closely with business leaders to define “who to hire and why,” influencing organizational outcomes.
  • Broad HR career potential: After establishing yourself in recruitment, you will have the opportunity to expand into adjacent HR domains, including talent development and organizational initiatives.
  • High degree of autonomy and flexibility: The organization encourages new ideas and practical experimentation, allowing you to design and implement improvements quickly.
  • Transformation phase: With systems and processes still evolving, this role offers meaningful opportunities to build, improve, and shape HR practices rather than simply maintain them.
