Our client is seeking a Senior Manager of HR Business Partnering to play a strategic and influential role within the organization. This position will work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, build strong internal relationships, and drive initiatives that enhance talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Manager will lead key HR functions while managing and developing a small HRBP team.
About the Role
The Senior HRBP Manager will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, overseeing core HR functions including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, and employee relations. This role requires a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to design and execute HR strategies that support growth, capability development, and a positive employee experience. The position also carries responsibility for budget control and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support overall business objectives, including responsibility for HR budget management.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters.
- Drive talent management initiatives such as talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Support performance management processes and provide coaching to line managers on effective performance practices.
- Address employee relations topics, providing guidance, mediation, and conflict-resolution support.
- Lead talent acquisition and employer branding activities for multiple recruitment channels, including new graduates, mid-career hires, internships, and temporary staffing.
- Design and implement learning and development programs by leveraging internal resources, group-level offerings, and external partners.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of two HR Business Partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG, alcohol, or luxury industries, with experience in multinational environments preferred.
- Native-level or business-level proficiency in Japanese and English; French is a plus.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business operations, strategy, and financial principles.
- Deep knowledge of HR functions, including talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, L&D, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Consulting mindset, able to provide strategic advice and guidance on HR issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and interpret HR data.
- Experience leading and managing change initiatives with a growth mindset.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) and HR technology tools.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- High cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
