With a mission to make art more accessible and to build a sustainable ecosystem for artists, collectors, and the broader market, the company develops and operates a suite of products and services that support both primary and secondary art distribution. As the business expands across Asia and prepares for further global growth, the organization is entering a critical phase that requires a dedicated HR leadership function.

To support this expansion, the company is seeking a Human Resources Director (CHRO Candidate) who will lead all people-related strategies and help shape the next stage of organizational growth.


About the Role

This newly created position will serve as the primary HR leader and strategic partner to the CEO and business leadership. The role is designed for a forward-thinking HR professional who can align people strategy with corporate strategy, build scalable HR foundations, and support a dynamic, fast-growing organization.

The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, organizational design, performance management, culture building, and compliance. This role is intended as a succession path to the future CHRO.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive HR and organizational strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead workforce planning and end-to-end recruitment, including international hiring
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine performance evaluation, grading, and compensation frameworks
  • Build training and development programs, including management training and OJT structures
  • Drive cultural initiatives and embed mission, values, and leadership behaviors across the organization
  • Oversee labor management, HR compliance, and risk management
  • Partner with executive leadership and department heads on organizational design and workforce planning
  • Create and manage HR KPIs and provide regular reporting to the leadership team


Requirements


Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR, recruitment, or organizational development experience within a corporate environment
  • Proven success in planning and executing hiring strategies and closing multiple roles annually
  • Experience collaborating directly with executives and department leaders on HR system design and improvement
  • Background in startups or fast-changing organizations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including candidates, employees, and executives
  • Foundational knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience establishing HR functions or scaling organizations in startup/venture environments
  • Experience hiring specialized talent (e.g., engineers, designers, global talent)
  • Experience designing or renewing evaluation systems, grading frameworks, and compensation structures
  • Practical labor management or compliance experience
  • Experience in employer branding or HR communications in collaboration with executives or investors
  • Ability to conduct interviews and HR processes in English
  • Data-driven approach to HR strategy, including KPI design and engagement analysis
