Based primarily out of the Kansai head office with extensive hybrid flexibility, you will drive the modernization of human resource infrastructure and benefits frameworks.
In this role, you will lead high-impact change management initiatives, ensure rigorous legal and regulatory compliance, and utilize modern data tools to elevate the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits Strategy and Administration
- Design, evaluate, and optimize competitive compensation structures and retirement benefit systems linked to long-term business and organizational growth strategies.
- Oversee the strategic alignment of global rewards philosophies with local market practices to enhance talent attraction and retention.
- Ensure maximum compliance and corporate risk mitigation across all labor-related laws, social insurance systems, and tax regulations.
Change Management & Employee Communication
- Lead change management planning and process execution to guarantee seamless corporate transitions and system implementations.
- Champion logical and persuasive communication strategies that encourage employee understanding, acceptance, and positive adaptation to change.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership and manage external vendors to build highly effective, collaborative networks.
Process Automation & Data Analytics
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging modern HR technologies and AI tools to deliver simple, accurate, and highly efficient operational workflows.
- Analyze quantitative metrics and data from employee satisfaction surveys to formulate proactive organizational development solutions.
- Coordinate cross-departmental schedules and manage large-scale project timelines successfully from conception to completion.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at an HR Manager level in a global enterprise focusing on compensation system design and payroll operations, OR 5+ years of experience as a rewards/benefits consultant for global corporations.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or related global commercial sectors.
- Language: Native-level Japanese / Business-level English.
- Strong strategic thinking, advanced data evaluation capabilities, and a flexible mindset that embraces modern working methodologies.
