Our client is a well-established investment solutions firm within a leading Japanese financial group, specializing in discretionary investment advisory, portfolio consulting, and multi-manager investment solutions. The firm partners with domestic and international asset managers to deliver high-quality investment strategies and portfolio solutions to institutional and intermediary clients.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to strengthen client partnerships and support the expansion of their advisory business.


 About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asset management sales professional to join a highly respected investment solutions business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with investment advisory clients, supporting the distribution of investment solutions, identifying new business opportunities, and acting as the key liaison between clients and internal investment teams.

The role requires a strong understanding of the asset management industry, investment products, and intermediary distribution channels, combined with the ability to build long-term relationships and deliver consultative solutions to clients.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment advisory clients, including asset management firms and financial institutions.
  • Promote investment advisory services and support the distribution of investment solutions across existing client relationships.
  • Understand clients' investment objectives and business needs, providing feedback to internal stakeholders to support the development and enhancement of products and services.
  • Identify and develop new client relationships to expand the firm's advisory business.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio management, investment specialists, and other internal teams to deliver tailored investment solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and client developments to identify business opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the firm professionally while maintaining a high level of client service and relationship management.


Requirements

  • Experience in a client-facing sales or relationship management role within an asset management company.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products and the asset management industry.
  • Good understanding of intermediary distribution channels and the investment advisory business.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives independently.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • English language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
