Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Pricing to drive pricing strategy and monetization excellence within a fast-growing technology organization. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, shaping how the company captures value in the Japanese market through data-driven, market-aligned pricing approaches.


About the Role

Based in Tokyo and reporting to the Head of Sales, this position is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing pricing models across a suite of SaaS and technology-driven solutions. The Senior Manager, Pricing will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, and Executive teams, contributing directly to revenue growth, competitiveness, and customer value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for products and services in Japan.
  • Conduct market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive benchmarking to inform pricing decisions.
  • Build and refine value-based pricing models for SaaS, platform usage, and service offerings.
  • Work closely with Sales and Product teams to assess new offerings, packaging structures, and monetization opportunities.
  • Monitor pricing performance, including deal outcomes, sales velocity, and customer feedback.
  • Manage discounting frameworks and support sales teams through deal desk activities and custom proposal development.
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, revenue planning, and margin optimization.
  • Deliver regular insights and reporting to senior leadership on pricing effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.


Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue operations, or business analytics, ideally within SaaS, technology, or real estate-related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in building pricing models and enhancing monetization strategies.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and/or BI tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese market dynamics and customer behaviors.
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
  • Tokyo-based or willing to relocate.


Nice to Have

  • Experience in SaaS pricing within B2B or PropTech sectors.
  • Background in consulting, pricing analytics, or strategic finance.
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales processes and deal structuring.
