About the Role- Position Title : Strategic Client Partner
- Reporting To : Global Business Head
- Location : Tokyo, Japan
- Scope : Lead a strategic semiconductor account, focusing on revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that align with the client’s goals and the organization’s growth aspirations.
As the Strategic Client Partner, you will:
- Drive Revenue and Profit Growth : Lead efforts to expand the VBU’s revenue and profitability, positioning the organization as a key strategic partner for major accounts.
- Build and Expand Relationships : Leverage existing relationships with senior and mid-level executives in the semiconductor industry. Develop new connections to strengthen the organization’s presence and influence.
- Strategic Account Planning : Conduct in-depth account analysis, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives to address customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Lead Campaigns and Proposals : Oversee unsolicited campaigns and solicited proposals, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and organizational goals.
- Expand Market Presence : Develop plans to enter new geographies or divisions within key accounts, driving growth and diversification.
- Customer Communication : Hold quarterly reviews, lead account branding initiatives, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Cross-Selling and Up-Selling : Introduce new services to key accounts by leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
- Financial Management : Create annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and expense plans to ensure sustainable growth.
- Team Leadership : Lead a matrixed sales-delivery team, fostering collaboration and accountability across global teams.
- Negotiations and Pricing : Lead billing rate negotiations, leveraging value pricing strategies to maintain competitive positioning.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Skills and Qualifications- Industry Expertise :
- Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, including silicon engineering services, embedded software, and end-to-end product lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with business models.
- Knowledge of tools, system design, and relevant technologies.
- Business Development :
- Proven experience in product management, business development, and P&L ownership.
- Strong commercial skills, including negotiation, pricing, and contract management.
- Leadership :
- Experience in hiring, building, and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in a remote or offshore delivery model.
- Strategic Thinking :
- Track record of developing and executing strategic plans that drive exponential growth.
- Ability to identify customer pain points and deliver innovative, long-term solutions.
- Communication :
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
- Formal training in program management, negotiations, and strategic selling.
