Talent Acquisition Manager

Talent Acquisition Manager

Our client is seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition Manager to lead strategic hiring across the Japan organization.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on building robust pipelines, strengthening employer brand presence, and delivering an exceptional experience to candidates and stakeholders alike.

About the Role

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle—from intake to onboarding—for permanent, contract, internship, and especially new graduate hiring.
  • Drive employer value proposition and branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in Japan’s competitive market.
  • Partner closely with HR/People teams and hiring leaders in Japan and across the region to embed global processes locally while ensuring compliance with Japanese labor laws and cultural norms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR partners.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for growth, succession, and critical roles; deploy innovative direct-sourcing to reduce agency dependency.
  • Plan and execute employer branding and EVP campaigns; cultivate university and STEM community partnerships, including outreach to Ph.D. talent.
  • Champion a best-in-class candidate experience; coordinate assessments, interviews, and offer processes with rigor and care.
  • Manage preferred suppliers in line with quality, experience, and diversity goals.
  • Use data and analytics to guide decisions and continuously improve outcomes; contribute to regional/global TA initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 10+ years of hands-on recruiting and talent advisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success in NCG hiring, EVP development, and employer branding campaigns.
  • Strong grasp of Japan labor market dynamics, pipeline management, and compliance.
  • Experience hiring STEM and Ph.D. talent (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English; proven ability to collaborate across virtual, global teams.
  • Proactive, strategic mindset with a commitment to outstanding stakeholder and candidate experiences.

Why Apply

  • Drive strategy and execution for a nationally critical talent portfolio—especially STEM and early-career pipelines.
  • Shape and elevate a compelling employer brand while standardizing best-practice recruitment processes for Japan.
  • Operate with significant influence as a senior individual contributor, collaborating across regional and global TA to deliver measurable impact.
